MP for Damongo and Savannah Regional NPP Caucus supports Sonyowura with food items

The member of Parliament for Damongo, who doubles as minister for lands and natural resources and caretaker minister for trade and industry, Samuel Abu Jinapor has presented some foodstuffs to Sonyowura Kanyiti who is the caretaker Yagbonwura of the Gonja kingdom following the death of the late Yagbonwura on Sunday 5th February, 2023.


The donation was to support the acting Gonja Chief to take care of sympathizers ahead of the performance of the funeral rites of the late Yagbonwura, Sulemana Tuntumba Bore Essa I.

The foodstuffs include 20 bags of rice, 2 bags of maize, 1 bag of Cassava, 50 bags of water, 1 can of cooking oil, a pack of snaps and an amount of 6, 000 Ghana cedis


The donation was made by some party executives of the NPP on behalf of the Minister led by the Savannah Regional Chairman and his vice, constituency chairman of Damongo at the Jakpa place on Tuesday, 7th February, 2023.

The acting Yagbonwura after receiving the items commended the minister and the Savannah Regional NPP for the gesture and indicated that it will help in the process of the funeral of the late Gonjaland king.
