Hope In Love Widows Foundation Set To Train 50 widows At Damongo
Hope In Love Widows Foundation LBG, founded on 4th October, 2021, is set to train about fifty (50) widows in the West Gonja municipal assembly of the Savannah region of Ghana to help empower them economically to overcome some financial challenges. The leader of the foundation, Aboya Ramatu, explained on Damongo based community radio, PAD95.1FM, that during her turn as the women commissioner for the Gonjaland Youth Association, she and the team interacted with lots of women in the area. In our interactions, most of the women told us a lot about the challenges they were faced with and are still going through similar challenges today. "Some of the women we interacted with said they needed financial support in the form of loans, learning of trade, support to fund their childrens' education and general women empowerment.
