Hope In Love Widows Foundation Set To Train 50 widows At Damongo

 Hope In Love Widows Foundation LBG, founded on 4th October, 2021, is set to train about fifty (50) widows in the West Gonja municipal assembly of the Savannah region of Ghana to help empower them economically to overcome some financial challenges. The leader of the foundation, Aboya Ramatu, explained on Damongo based community radio, PAD95.1FM, that during her turn as the women commissioner for the Gonjaland Youth Association, she and the team interacted with lots of women in the area. In our interactions, most of the women told us a lot about the challenges they were faced with and are still going through similar challenges today. "Some of the women we interacted with said they needed financial support in the form of loans, learning of trade, support to fund their childrens' education and general women empowerment.  MP FOR SALAGA- SOUTH HON. HAJIA ZUWERA MAKES DONATION TO MUSLIMS TO MARK RAMADANT The Member of Parliament (MP) for Salaga -South Constituency, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah has donated assorted food items to Muslim communities within the East Gonja Municipality to show solidarity as Muslims observe this year’s Ramadan.  The items donated include bags of granulated sugar, cartons of cube sugar, Nido, Milo and lipton tea.  Dissolve the management team of West Gonja hospital - Concerned Youth of Damongo A group known as Concerned Citizens of Damongo is calling on the leader of the Gonja Kingdom and President of Savannah Regional House of Chiefs, Yagbonwura Tutumba Bore Essa (I) to dissolve the current management of the West Gonja hospital, located at Damongo, the Savannah regional capital.  The group made the call at a press conference held at Ras Banku Cinema hall on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Damongo. The lead Convener of the group, Rev Samuel Dinkeri disclosed, "Information available indicates that even though this hospital has become a referral hospital for some of the districts in the Savannah Region, yet the number of people coming to seek healthcare in the hospital has reduced by 50%". After a severe wind ripped off the health center on March 20, 2022, putting the health of over 40,000 community residents in jeopardy, 4ward Development has donated Ghc10,000 to the St Joseph health center in Kalba in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district of the Savannah region on 7th April 2022 Mr. Ahmed A. Yekini, regional director of 4ward Development for Upper West and Savannah region, said their organization is into water in Wa West, Wa East, Wa Municipal, and Sawla Tune Kalba district in Ghana, adding that after receiving news from MP for Sawla-Tuna-Kalba constituency, the company couldn't back down though it is not into health.  Let's create a positive culture to support people with disability to reach their full potentials- Mr. Anthony Dogbedo The Programs Manager, Hope for Future Generations (HFFG), Mr Anthony Dogbedo said people with disability are discriminated against with the language (names) communities address them with, hence the need to collaborate and treat them equally for them to be able to achieve their full potentials. He stated that some disability persons are more creative and far advanced, hence must be supported to achieve greater heights in life.
